January is National Train Your Dog Month.
Does your dog get excited and jump on people when they come to your house? Do they growl or have aggression towards other dogs/animals, kids or people in general? Maybe they are really well behaved, but they get easily distracted and break command. If you answered YES to any of these questions, it may be time to find a dog trainer.
Dog training can be pricey, but you have to think of it as an investment. A good trainer will have a lifetime guarantee. They will organize on-going training classes for both you and your dog after training has been completed and be there when you need them.
One behavior we see more often than not, is dog aggression. It doesn't matter if it's a small yorkie or a large pitbull, whether it's towards another animal or person it is completely unacceptable. Avoidance does not make it go away.
